When did I get old?

Finally, a morning off. I actually got to sleep in until 8am today, rather than waking up at the usual 4:30 am. We had a great time in Seattle (more on that another time) and got back last Monday. Then it was right back to work Tuesday morning.

By Saturday, it was time for spring cleaning in the kids' room, moving all the furniture, tossing old stereos, vacuum cleaners, etc that 8 years ago I thought I would get fixed...lol... and breaking down the bunk beds the kids have used for the last 10 years. Sigh. No one has slept in them for a year or more, so it was time to take them down and save them for Diana's boys :-)

The point of all this rearranging and cleaning? Sunday I drove into LA and picked up a comfy sofa, queen bed and tv from my ex who is moving in with her girlfriend. I woke up on Sunday already sore and stiff from all that stuff on Saturday. We got to Jeni and Toni's and started loading up the UHaul (thank you for living on the ground floor!) and then drove back home.

We live on the second floor.

Do you know how heavy a 7 ft sofa is? With three people carrying it up the stairs? (My youngest is useless except for holding doors open.)

We managed to get it all upstairs and in the apartment. We still have a few things to toss out so we can get the kids' room finished, and I'm not sure where we're going to put the loveseat we already had. Did I mention the new sofa is 7 ft long?

It's three days later, and my arms are still very sore. I've been living on ibuprofen since Saturday. Back in MY day, I could move furniture around for a week and still be fine!

Please help out

A favor to ask, it only takes a minute....

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "donating a mammogram" for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.
