June

Yeah, it's been a while. June has been a crazy month. Paris went to jail, got out, went back in, and finally was released this week. Nicole, my baby, graduated from high school (yeah!). I applied for, interviewed for, and was "not chosen" for a promotion that would have involved a very fast move. We had the Solstice Faire, Father's Day, Mark's birthday, and my birthday. And the wife had to take an emergency trip to Washington when her dad went into hospice. Today is a Blue Moon. Tomorrow, the last day of June, I'll be teaching a Reiki I class alone for the first time in three and half years - weird. The wife and I always teach together, but she's still out of town. Sigh.

It's not looking like July will be any calmer. Life in the 21st century, moving at the speed of light (except when you're sitting on the freeway in rush hour).

Poor Baby

So Paris Hilton served THREE DAYS of her 21 day sentence in jail (which was originally 40 days). Poor thing was stressed out by the jail experience and had a "psychological" situation. They put an ankle bracelet on her and sent her home for house arrest.

Do you know anyone else who gets a second DUI at the age of 25, driving under a suspended license, who was let her out of jail early because it was too much for them????? Excuuuuuse me.

And they say rich people get treated the same as everyone else by the judicial system?

Yeah right.

Traffic Woes

It took me nearly 3 hours to get home last night. I left Burbank at 4:45 pm and got to Long Beach at 7:30 pm. It's only 35 miles. Any time there's a sig alert on the 710 freeway, all the surrounding freeways turn into parking lots. I hate LA.
