At home

Today I'm working from home! Yeah!!!! Waiting for UPS to arrive with supplies so we can get busy making the rest of our products for the Winter Solstice Faire this Saturday. It was nice to get up after dawn for a change, take time enjoying my coffee and reading email, waiting for my beloved to get up :-)

Yesterday, a friend sent us a picture of the first snowfall up at their place in Washington. It's so beautiful! We were just there a month ago, and will be back the beginning of next month, but I wish we could be there now to enjoy the white frosting on the trees and hear the snow crunch under our shoes. Much better than the sloshing we had in the rain on the last trip!

A new home

I'm relatively new to blogging... just started three months ago on AOL, and now they've had to go and mess it all up! So here I am, with a lot of my other blogfriends who have escaped from AOhelL.

Not up to writing much today - my eyes still hurt. I went to the optometrist (for the first time in many years) and had the ever-popular eye dilation drops. I look like I'm on drugs, and everything feels like I've been staring into the sun for hours.

Tomorrow is my grandma's 96th birthday! Happy birthday, Nana!

AOhelL

from my previous blog....

I haven't written lately for a couple of reasons... I've been too tired for one... and because AOL has done a number on the journals. What's up with these ad banners? Don't I pay a monthly fee? Haven't I been a member since September 1996!!!!???? (Yes I checked) I've been plotting my escape from AOhelL since I found out about all this a week ago, and I'm still trying to figure out how to notify everyone that the email address I've had for NINE YEARS is going to change.... sigh.

An Amazing Trip

(from my previous blog...)

We got back on Wednesday night after a week in Washington. We stayed at Ivy's place in Ravensdale, out in the woods, at the end of a private road. Quiet, green, beautiful... the energy was so amazing. We didn't want to come back home... But at least we know now where we belong, and we will start keeping our eyes open for a good deal on property out there. We got great plans: straw bale yurt/roundhouse, retreat center, medicine wheel, sweathouse, firepit, growing our own herbs and food. No one out there is offering Reiki or alternative healing; the closest one is in Kent. Gotta look into became a certified Herbalist, too, and start getting MM set up and bringing in some cash.

Must be home, cuz Mary and I both tear up when we talk about it....
